I hope so.

And I had to think about why I hope so. Because I am not a long-time Pentax user. 
(Though the P&S I bought about 25 years ago is a Pentax).

So I came up with some reasons.

1. When I was growing up (late 50's and through the 60's) Pentax was considered the 
best or one of the best.

2. I get sick and tired of bigger companies driving smaller companies out of business. 
Like the way M$ has driven tons of others out of business. And I think market 
diversity is a very good thing for the consumer. 

3. It would mean I wasn't a total idiot for buying a K-1000 to learn photography. And 
not an idiot for later buying a ZX-5n from someone on this list to continue my 
photography experience.
