If I read that correctly, that is an explanation of why slide film has less latitude that I can understand. Since you put it in terms of f stops. One of the slide rolls I took, I felt there was too much contrast and the shadows were too dark. I found it very disappointing because I was looking for slides to produce better color, not impenetrable shadows. Understanding continues to dawn.
