I think the problem is the shutter rather than the winder speed, or
perhaps both.  The data imprinting cannot happen until the shutter is
closed.  This therefore would cause a pause in the process while
imprinting took place.  To get a faster shutter in would apparently have
made the body significantly bigger, as would have a faster winder
probably.  Besides if they did this, I think they would have opted for a
faster frame rate rather than to do the imprinting during shooting.
