Firstly, I think the Sound Touch might be a bad investment.

True! it has Internet Radio and Media player bundled for want of a better 
description but the downside of this is that you need to install the Soundtouch 
software or App on whatever device you wish to use it with, certainly the App 
for the iPhone is far from accessible.
Given that all the App seems to do is stream your media library to the 
Soundtouch you'd be far better off with the Soundlinke III or Air, cheaper.

As for the Soundlink Mini? I've heard that it doesn't have the dynamic range of 
the Soundlink Air or Soundlink III and I wouldn't be at all surprised if that 
were true, when scaling down in size then you have to make comprimises 
somewhere.
