Itunes certainly has an equaliser though I'm not sure how many bands
are featured.
This is only me but the playing of files and formats and accessibility
is more important to me than equalisers, if worst comes to worst and
you're into that sort of thing then you can adjust bass and treble
controls on your audio system.

Another question would be which ones have a ten band equalizer.

I don't think you understand; while these players may be accessible,
will
they allow one to do _all_ the things that Winamp does? Wil they, for
example, start listening to a file; then you have to stop in the middle;
will they let you go in and pick up right where you left off? Windows
Media
Player won't; at least as far as I know it won't! Can't speak for
some of
the others as I've not tried them! But this is my concern as I want
to be
able to start listening to a show and be able to stop it; then go to the
point where I stopped listening later on! If these other players
will do
this easily, fine!

So in other words - if Winamp ceases to exist - its much ado about
nothing
given there are alternatives out there.
And by the way the software is called iTunes and not iTunes player.

Maybe that's also why I mentioned the ITunes player, because I don't
know
how accessible it is. People mention Fubar, but I've never tried it,
so I
don't know how accessible it is compared to Winamp. Maybe the reason
are
hooked on Winamp, is because of the Winamp keystrokes that people find
accessible.

Windows Media is pretty accessible. However it still won't allow
one to
do
things like going to a specific point in a file, just by typing in a
command
as Winamp does!

I hope you enjoy it.
I also forgot to mention Windows Media Player, there are a few little
things
I don't like about it such as it not having support from FLAC audio
for
some
strange reason but the software is very accessible.

Dane, you mentioned about the ITunes media plakyer, but can you
access
music content on the web with that as a media player? I don't use
ITunes
yet, but may soon.
