Good point ray. Adrien, what is the origin of the source files?
I asume that when you turn the levels up on other files they are all
clean as whistles?

Lowering the bit-rate wil not improve the situation. There
may be a
number of reasons why you are hearing distortion, and
changint the
bit-rate will not fix this.
When you say distortion, do you mean over mudulation, or are
you
hearing artifacts in the audio?
