This is good advice; Tom would make his life easier by identifying himself as the moderator when making these decisions. Because he hasn't checked in since this post, I'll confirm that he is the moderator. There isn't a better one out there. For what it's worth, I agree that a question about how JAWS works with IE8 isn't right for this list. The answer, as implied by another lister and that would be given more appropriately on a JAWS list, is that this particular error message in IE8 indicates that the user needs to upgrade JAWS.

I don't have a lot of patience though for people who think absolutely everything is fair game for this list just because I use a screen reader which happens to use my sound card.
