High Dain,
If you can see what you are doing, you can stream ITunes and Airfoil through
a set of Blue Tooth speakers.
But like I said, you need sighted help to set it up.
And ITunes and Airfoil kept crashing Jaws.

Ah Pardon me? What has Itunes, Airfoil or Airport Express got to do with
Blue Tooth Speakers? Absolutely nothing!

High Dain,
I tried that software about a year ago, I didn't like it.
For one thing, it kept on crashing my screen reading software which was
and still is Jaws.
The other thing is, you need sighted help to set up those blue tooth
speaker systems.
I like working independently of sighted help.
My wife is sighted, but I won't call on her for help with my electronic
equipment unless I really need to.
But anyway, that's just me.
My best regards.
John.

Hmm, sounds a lot of trouble to go to when something like an Airport
Express would probably cost you less and give you far clearer audio
anyway but each to their own <smile>.
I've just also remembered, I don't know about Winamp but Itunes has a
"Sound Check" feature, this function keeps every song and so on at a
preset level.

Hello Tom and David,
There is a quick fix for the problem you're having.
The problem can be solved by putting a booster buffer amplifier between
the transmitter and computer or whatever the audio source is.
Set the volume on the transmitter to the 11:00 position, and set the
gain on the booster buffer amplifier to 50% which is, half way up.
Set the volume on the booster buffer amplifier to the 9:00 position,
and there you are!
This is how I have mine sat up, I don't have any problems at all since
I done that.
Hope this helps.
My best regards.
John.

That is not uncommon for these transmitters. Professional fm stations
have equipment to compress the sound before it gets to the transmitter
which makes it louder than it would otherwise be. The C. Crane cannot
possibly compete with that.

Hello list: I have the C-Crane FM transmitter, which I use to hear
what's on my computer when I'm not in the same room; I've noticed for
a while now that..the volume that's coming through my radios isn't as
loud as it should be; yet..if I make it louder by turning up the
volume on the transmitter, then the light blinks, indicating that the
volume is too loud; it also causes the sound on whatever radio I'm
listening through to become a little distorted! Is this normal; in
other words..is it normal to not quite get the same volume coming
through the transmitter as what comes through any other "FM" station?
Hopefully I am explaining this correctly! The sound card I'm running
is an Audigy 2..if this is of any help! Thanks ahead of time.
