Hi!
I've given up on transmitting FM around the house for the very reason
which you've outlined, the transmitters just became too unreliable not
to mention to many ocmputers and the like causing interference on the
band - that may not be a problem for some people of course - so that's
why I went the way of the Airport Express. just connect to a pair of
speakers, a digital link to an amp, headphones or whatever and take the
stream from your computer. Airport Express will work standard with
Itunes or you can use Airfoil, this hijacks audio sources on your
computer and streams them to the Airport express or any other computer
using the Airfoil Speakers software which is free.
You can use it as base station too! for all your wi-fi needs.
