Subject: Re: Simple Sound Editing Program that's easy to use

Hi again everyone,

I could really use some help here. I didn't really get an answer last time.

I'll explain the situation.
I have Total Recorder right now, and unless I can use something different, I'll
have to use it.

I have a song I need to edit. There is about fifteen to twenty seconds, in the
middle of the song, that I need to cut out. So, what I've done is the
following:
I first began playing the song. When I got to the place I wanted to cut, I did
a Shift L to mark the front of the spot to select. It finished and then I did
a Shift R to end the selection.
I then hit the Delete key, but nothing happened when I tried saving the file
again.
What am I doing wrong?

I also just got the Direct Cut mp3 program, so if this can be done, I could use
some directions. I've been trying to do this for a week now.

Thanks.

Jim
