Good question. I haven't tried it yet on our Vista machine. Since there's a bit of a learning curve with some aspects of audio as related to Vista, I guess it's just easier to stick with XP as the tried and true for certain tasks. Still, MP3 Gain is freeware, so I can't see where there would be anything to lose when trying it on a Vista system.

Yes, MP3 Gain is still around and thriving. I could be wrong, but I don't
think it's been updated in a while. Still, I haven't found anything released
more recently that can beat it. I normalize files regularly for my online
station and I wouldn't use anything else.

Hi Brian. You might want to consider using MP3 Gain. The program is free
and
it's the best that I know of for normalizing files. With it, you can
normalize an entire folder. All aspects of the program can be accessed
with
a screen reader.

Hi,
I have a large collection of mp3 files I want to normalize, so they can
be used in a selv playing environment. It's required that the volume of
the files is about equal.
can easy cd-da extracter do this, or do I need other tools?
also a more detailed description of how exactly I can do this.

Best regards
Brian
