Hi bruce and all

As I stated on another list, I must also agree with you. I don't think the
two devices are really in composition. They are meant for two slightly
different segments of the market. But I do believe plextor has come up with
a winner here.

I would suggest that the best comparison to make is that the Plextalk is a
very good recorder that has some playback functionality, and the Stream is a
very good player that has some recording functionality. As has been said
elsewhere. they are both very good for what they have been designed to do.
The size difference is minute. The battery life of the Stream is
considerably longer than that of the Plextalk, so if it is playback
capability you are after, seriously consider the Stream, which plays MP3.
OGG Vorbis, Windows Media, braille, TXT, HTML, rich text, FLAC, and more in
terms of file format. If it is primarily recording you are interested in,
then I would say the Plextalk is your best bet, with its stereo recording
capability and line-in jack, etc. Both devices have their place, and it is
irresponsible to say (and I think I'm decoding the spelling correctly) that
one is just a way better player in every respect, because that is simply not
true.
