Albert What's troublesome to me about the msgs Don complains about is that, because of them, we aren't able to see announcements which would have true value to the listers. They are not really spam; but, in many ways, they have the same effect on a list in dampening traffic which would benefit more list readers. It goes back for the argument of why a list should be moderated rather than being truly open. Note I said "it argues" and I am not suggesting that this should be done.
