Hi Cornell.  Thanks so much for the info.  I suspect it's the burner.  I've 
been burning a lot of cds.  I'll check in to getting a lens though.  Have a 
good one.

Hi Cathy,

You can pick up a lense cleaner just about anywhere these days. It's no more 
than a plastic disc just like a CD, but it has a tiny soft brush underneath 
that swipes across the lense.
I've seen them with a thin strip brush going from end to end on a disc, just 
one end going from center of disc to the rim, or widened patches of soft 
brushheads to clean the lense.

P.S.
You just put the disc in like a CD. Some may have additional instrucitons, 
such as putting in facing a certain way or leaving it to run for a period of 
time. Pirmarily, it just brushes across the top of the lense in the disc 
drive.
