High Cathy and Tom, This is a pc audio topic, so you're ok. I have seen this problem before. When I encountered it, I found that it mint that there was something wrong with the CDRW drive. The laser lens maybe dirty or there maybe some kind of a technical problem going on with it. Try cleaning the lens first. If that doesn't work, you may have to replace the drive with a new one.
