Hi, Rusty: Glad my quickie-how-to was helpful to you.
You don't have to press ESCAPE to enter the search window. Just start typing something and it opens. The list of songs can be found by tabbing past all the checkboxes. Don't back-tab (Shift + TAB), that will only get you back to whatever window you were on before you started searching. It's a little quirky that way--you just have to press TAB about six times and then you hit the list. There is a document that comes with SAM Broadcaster, I don't even know if it's part of the DJ program or not, that references most of, it not all, the functions in the PAL scripting language. That's what I used as a learning tool. The language itself is very Pascal-like. It has numeric and string variables and comparators, lots of interesting string functions (string within string, string concatenation, string to numeric and vice versa, etc.), and some very useful time and timing functions. These are all explained in a docunent called PAL Reference.RTF or some RTF with a very similar name. They even give you a program development environment which looks like and cooks like the old Borland stuff and is generally very speech-friendly. Hope this helps some more.
