Yes, there is.  In Version 6 they seem to have finally gotten it
right.

Total Recorder should not be compared to either Sound Forge, Gold
Wave, Audacity, or anything else of their kind.  They do what Total
Recorder does not, and vice versa. SF, GW, Audacity, etc., are audio
workstations, or wannabees in at least one case (I won't start a war
by naming which ones I don't like), Total Recorder has some of their
functionality, but by no means all.  On the other hand, Total Recorder
brings to one interface the ability to start a stream and capture it
in real time, then save it in one of various file formats, all
controllable by calendar and clock.  Yes, you can do some basic
editing using it, but if you plan on doing anything more than trimming
and some minor cutting and pasting, other software has a nicer
interface than TR, but for what it does, it enables enough edition to
make a file air-worthy.
