For playing and recording high-quality digital audio, between my computer
and my home stereo system, I have been very happily using Griffin
Technologies' IMic external USB audio device, for several years now. The one
drawback I find with it is that it does not seem to support the "what you
hear" recording source option. (I gather this is because it is not a
"dual-channel" device, unlike the SoundBlaster an comparable internal sound
cards.)

Can anyone recommend an external USB audio device, of comparable or higher
quality to the IMic, that is dual-channel, and does offer the "what you
hear" recording source option?

Thank you.

Blessed Be,
