Yeah,

I have those tapes; they are golden to me, no pun intended! I will look
forward to your evaluations!

Hi mac, Forging Ahead, the Sound Forge tutorial was completed in 2000,
although the basic concepts are the same so it's still relevant. It wouldn't
be an update of that tutorial so much as an evaluation of performance,
functionality, efficiency, consistency with Windows standards and ease of
use. It's certainly not something I'd attempt until I move though.

You mean, you might "update" the famous Soundforge tutorials, with a Gold
wave comparison? How many years ago was that done (Soundforge, I mean)?

Hi all, just in case this thread has created any false impression for
anyone, Sound Forge is not dependent on screen reader configuration. Just as
there are benefits in running the scripts for Goldwave, there are also
benefits in running the scripts or set files for Sound Forge. However I
personally choose not to use them as for me, speed is the key, and I found
the scripts slow things down a little. So you can certainly use Sound Forge
without scripts.

I agree with the side by side comparison idea. I've used and learned both
programs, so may well give that a go at some point to illustrate the
differences.
