Hi all, just in case this thread has created any false impression for anyone, Sound Forge is not dependent on screen reader configuration. Just as there are benefits in running the scripts for Goldwave, there are also benefits in running the scripts or set files for Sound Forge. However I personally choose not to use them as for me, speed is the key, and I found the scripts slow things down a little. So you can certainly use Sound Forge without scripts.
I agree with the side by side comparison idea. I've used and learned both programs, so may well give that a go at some point to illustrate the differences.
