Hello. I prefer Sound Forge because of the scrubbing features it has. I also like the effects but don't get me wrong, Gold Wave is a very good program. For me Sound forge is a little bit more accessible. Of course, Sound Forge was the first editor I had experience with and that I think does color an oppion sometimes. It's like finding a car though. You can find 6 people who like Fords and 6 people who like shevys. The best way is first, can you afford both programs in question and then second, download and try out each demo.
Just my thoughts, Chuck P.S.
