Not trying to be too picky or maybe I have missed earlier comments but as you
know but maybe haven't thought about is that the direction your antenna is
positioned depends on the location of the satellite from which the Serious
transmission is received. So, on the West Coast of North America where I am, I
would likely have to have my antenna in a window facing south and possibly
south east as I Live in Vancouver Canada. If I lived in Southern California or
Northern Mexico, I would likely have to have the antenna in an east or
north-east facing window. And of course, all this is assuming that their
satellite is parked somewhere over the south central United States as I
understand is where the TV satellites are parked.
Who knows though, maybe that parking lot is full, or all the satellites have
parking tickets so they had to move or that parking lot just got too darn
crowded. I believe that geophysically there is an optimum location for the
satellites then a central location relative to population density is also
factored in.

Hi Ray, I haven't had too bad of a time with antenna placement,
though in the house I get the best results with the antenna facing
southwest. I would have to move it sometimes when the climate
changed, or when there were significant solar flares or
whatever. Just kidding a little there. Anyway, right now I have the
antenna outside on our upper deck, facing west. With the antenna
outside I rarely get any problems with the transmission, but I do
understand this is not an option for everyone. HTH Norma
