I think there's a difference between being "dishonest" and taking advantage of
an odd quirk in human psychology. If you price at
$yy.95, you are not being "dishonest". In no way have you lied or
misrepresented yourself. You really DO sell the thing for
$19.95.
Personally I round all prices up when I look at the tag. Big ticket items may
get rounded up several hundred dollars (you always
get pinged for shipping, or install, or extended warranty, or whatever it is
this month). It's automatic enough that it doesn't
bother me any more.
People who can't manage their money well enough to realize that $19.95 ~=
$20.00 deserve to get fleeced. Anyone with the minimum
education mandated by the local government out to be able to figure it out.
