I have two new questions: Does it really look bad if the folds face the sides instead of the front? We are just doing this pair of earrings as a craft, so we won't be buying any special sealant. We'll be using clear nail polish. Would it be better to apply it over the unfolded paper and wait for it to dry before making the fold or to apply it over the finished fold? That's it. Thank you in advance ; ) Hi, Gerardo, The direction that earrings face is not that important as earrings tend to move around on their own as the person moves, hair is adjusted, wind blows, etc. I have done them with tatos and they usually turn out very nicely. Do not put the sealant on the paper before it is folded. It would make the paper too stiff to work nicely, especially since the earrings are so small. Since clear nail polish has solvents in it, I would recommend not using it because it could damage the colors as well as the paper itself. In the past I have used Mod Podge, Sobo craft and fabric glue as well as Stiffy fabric stiffener with good results. They work well for paper as well as fabric. The Mod Podge (and perhaps the others) can be watered down if you want a thinner sealant for some models. Additionally, they are not very expensive and you get an 8 oz./240 ml bottle that will go a long way and cost you about the same, if not less than, a bottle of nail polish. The main thing, it seems, is that you are doing this for fun and as a learning experience. So, relax and have fun! best wishes, Judith
