Hi David,

No need to justify how you ran the elections - especially since we have been
doing it like this for years, if I am not mistaken. So, please consider my
proposal an improvement request for the existing process.

And as I said before, I absolutely trust in the integrity of the result and I
am aware that they are being carefully cross-checked by multiple people!

I think we can just leverage information which is readily available in the
voting tool to further improve the quality of the process we already have. If
possible, I would appreciate if the results of this round of elections could
already be amended with the CIVS results.

Best regards
Georg

Thanks, Georg.

For the past two elections, I relied on precedent for setting up the poll. I
realize that doing "what we did before" is not necessarily a good
justification, but it's what I had to go on when I unexpectedly became the
interim PM in June, 2018.

Note that the election results are always verified by others before I announce
them. For this year's election, I had Jim Baker and Bin Hu confirm the
results. I also keep a screenshot of the results page in case there is ever
any question.

That being said, I think it's worth considering whether improvements can be
made so that the process is more transparent.

Hi all,

We just went through a period if various official elections, such as the TSC,
the TSC chair, and community awards. First of all, congratulations to everyone
elected.

I’d like to bring up one question, though, regarding how we handle and publish
the official results of those elections. Those elections are conducted using
CIVS [1] to ensure a reliable and trustable process. However, the official CIVS
results are not published but instead a summary of the results is announced on
the mailing list.

Please note that I am in no way questioning the integrity of the election
results.

However, I am asking if the link to the official results in CIVS can be
published. I believe this would be in line with us being an open and
transparent community. Moreover, other communities such as OpenStack do publish
the CIVS results for various different elections (TCs, PTLs). Just a bunch of
