Hi all, We just went through a period if various official elections, such as the TSC, the TSC chair, and community awards. First of all, congratulations to everyone elected.
I'd like to bring up one question, though, regarding how we handle and publish the official results of those elections. Those elections are conducted using CIVS [1] to ensure a reliable and trustable process. However, the official CIVS results are not published but instead a summary of the results is announced on the mailing list. Please note that I am in no way questioning the integrity of the election results. However, I am asking if the link to the official results in CIVS can be published. I believe this would be in line with us being an open and transparent community. Moreover, other communities such as OpenStack do publish the CIVS results for various different elections (TCs, PTLs). Just a bunch of examples: * http://lists.openstack.org/pipermail/openstack-dev/2018-September/135187.html (Stein TC) * http://lists.openstack.org/pipermail/openstack-dev/2018-May/130052.html (Rocky TC) * http://lists.airshipit.org/pipermail/airship-discuss/2019-July/000514.html (Airship TC) [1] https://civs.cs.cornell.edu/ Best regards Georg
