Hi,

I had a look at the current issues for 24.10. Most of them are looking
harmless.

Since 24.10.0-rc7 eeprom paring is broken for some devices, see:
https://github.com/openwrt/openwrt/issues/17818

I think this broke it:
https://github.com/openwrt/openwrt/commit/150aa9aeee509dba5255885618d8df372670e8f3

I would just revert to tomorrow if no one comes up with a real fix. Then the
MAC address is wrong, but at least the wifi comes up.

Linksys EA7500v1 and Linksys EA8500 do not get correct mac addresses and
then network is not working, see:
https://github.com/openwrt/openwrt/issues/17157

Let me add
https://github.com/openwrt/openwrt/issues/17808
to this which looks like a similar problem with MAC address assignment,
but it's on MT7621 and effects the Ethernet port.

I think we still have multiple boards where the MAC addresses are broken.

We should fix these boards and backport the changes to the 24.10 branch too.

I am planning to tag 24.10.0 final on Monday evening.

OpenWrt 24.10.0 final is tagged and building.

I will probably announce the release on 5. February.

@Paul and Eric: please check in about 20 hours that ASU is working like expected.

We should do a OpenWrt 24.10.1 in about 4 weeks. Feel free to backport fixes.

Hauke
