Oups, overlooked this, sorry. Am 01.07.2010 18:30 schrieb Markus Wigge: >> After the third boot with a CRC error, it stops and waits for a new >> firmware image. To prevent this 'noset_try_flag' must be set to 1 on boot. > is this a stable possibility to use the complete 16MB for a single image?
Hmm, theoretically it might, as the CRC check has no consequences anymore. But, AFAIR, when I removed the limit (7200k or whatever it was) and created a larger image, the CFE didn't accept it. Maybe it would work with mtd, after a minimal image has been installed. > I finally managed to port another patch for the flashmap driver and the > firmware-tools to prevent overriding the second images space. > Now the device works quite stable with 8MB and without any nvram tweeking. Actually, I do have 16MB total after flashing. (I just have to install packages which didn't fit in manually afterwards.) Why should you want to leave 8MB alone? > Try trunk with r22019 or newer. No time ATM. I can't do any tests before July 12th. :( N.K. _______________________________________________ openwrt-devel mailing list openwrt-devel@lists.openwrt.org https://lists.openwrt.org/mailman/listinfo/openwrt-devel
