Hi,
I have spend several days to get usb support on the asus v2 router up
and running,
but no success. I have tried 8.09 branch (8.09-RC2) and trunk,
firmware can be installed,
router is booting, but usb is not working. (simple pl2303 usb serial
adapter will not be
detected, no output with lsusb)
Do you have any hint to get usb support running ?
What kind of router is this? "asus v2" doesn't mean anything, asus has
lots of different devices.
it is an ASUS WL500-gP V2 (see subject)
Did you add the required host controller driver? (dunno if it's ohci or
uhci for your hardware)
yes, I followed the instructions on
http://wiki.openwrt.org/oldwiki/openwrtdocs/hardware/asus/wl500gpv2,
but documentation seems outdated, not existing patch files, already
integrated patch files (trunk)
You should also install kmod-usb2 for usb2 host controller support
yes, kmod-usb2 is installed, dmesg shows "ECHI_HCD ....", but no usb
core is detected.
I will try the precompiled brcm47xx firmware images for 8.09 and trunk
and send you the output of dmesg, lsusb, lspci, opkg list_installed....
today I tried the precompiled trunk image for brcm47xx (downloaded from openwrt
website),
but same result as last time :-(
I have attached the output of several commands, maybe this will help for
debugging.
