But the underlying point here is that you don't have to go through ON (there are other supported ways to integrate drivers) and you don't need to create (and can't actually use) yet another consolidation to solve the problem.
Ok, I was unaware that SFW was a vehicle for drivers. Looking at http://cvs.opensolaris.org/source/xref/sfw/usr/src/ one could be forgiven for thinking it was not, since there is no uts directory.
