You're right, It doesn't work. But get worse (see below).
Anyway, you can still try to install Olimex's driver (for use with libftdi).
Yes, I installed these for serial channel and worked fine.
But didn't try that (moving usb cable to another port). Even with
everything working and installed (JTAG Channel A, Serial Port working as
COM2) when I move the USB cable to another port it loses all knowledge
of previous H/W and thinks it is all new and wants drivers installed
again. So, really don't know what to do now...
Do you have to require a windows install of OpenOCD to always run on the
same USB port when using Olimex jtag? Or do you just have to re-install
drivers for each possible usb port you might be using?
This is using Freddie's libusb0.sys and libusb0.dll and ftdi drivers for
serial port from Olimex CD.
On linux, I can plug the Olimex into any usb port and it works.
