Soon you will be able to use libftdi 1.0 which is based on libusb 1.0. http://developer.intra2net.com/git/?p=libftdi-1.0 It is working with the WinUSB backend of libusb 1.0 under Windows. WinUSB works under x64 without the need of code signing certificate. http://www.libusb.org/wiki/windows_backend There will be an automatic driver installed for libusb.
