Good argument against the repeated phrase "I wouldn't have contributed
if...".

Anyway, if the GPL purists see a chance to fight against proprietary
software, they are in a good position. There is even a vague possibility
to get your view granted in a legal dispute, but IMHO this is most unlikely.

We either need a written GPL exception explicitly granted by all
contributors or a clear statement of at least one of them, that they
don't want this simply because they are in the position to say so.
Without "I wouldn't have contributed if...".
