I am sure libusb-win32 will not work under Vista 64 bit (without some
hacking) and thus libftdi/OpenOCD will not work under Vista 64.

I am not 100% sure about XP 64 situation. libusb-win32 works
under XP 64. I am not sure about libftdi and OpenOCD.
The DDK/WDK build of libusb-win32 will create libusb.lib (for
Visual C++) and not libusb.a (for gcc).

In the end, XP64/Vista64 users are better served by
the private build using FTD2XX.
