I am testing with an unorthodox linux setup: linux mint on mac book pro

`Linux OraMac 5.15.0-107-generic #117-Ubuntu SMP Fri Apr 26 12:26:49 UTC 2024
x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux`

I have Japanese input method support installed (Input Method Framework: fcitx,
input method Mozc)

I can switch to Japanese IME in the native Text Editor, and I can invoke the
IME in a TextArea when running the Monkey Tester.

I cannot invoke Japanese IME or in fact switch to another input language if I
am inside an editable TableView in the Monkey Tester. Starting with the "us"
selection in the tray, even if I right click on that icon in the tray and
change the input method it goes back to the "us". Space-Space (the key
sequence used to toggle input language in my setup) does not work, and
Ctrl-Space which brings up the Japanes IME does not work either.

See nothing in the console.

I might be doing something wrong, of course, since this is not an environment I
typically work with.
