Yes, testing the issue without involving the sdk would be good, but I can't
build it in the host environment, and don't have rights to install missing
32 bit support packages (not sure what that would be):

/usr/include/gnu/stubs.h:7:11: fatal error: gnu/stubs-32.h: No such file or
directory
 # include <gnu/stubs-32.h>
           ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
