The bug is still present in the current KDE release.
Using
Kubuntu 9.4
HP LaserJet 1010
~> okular --version
Qt: 4.5.2
KDE: 4.3.2 (KDE 4.3.2)
Okular: 0.9.2
Okular also dosn't remember this landscape/portrait option. So every time you
want print a page you have to change this option. This gets realy annoying if
you only need a few pages of a pdf dokument and every time you have to toggle
this option. For me, this looks like as if the printig system and okular trying
to detect the orientation of the pdf at the same time, which result in a 90°
rotation.
