LEAST BITTERN GLOSSY IBIS RUDDY DUCK BLACK-BELLIED PLOVER AMERICAN GOLDEN PLOVER RUDDY TURNSTONE STILT SANDPIPER HUDSONIAN GODWIT WHITE-RUMPED SANDPIPER BAIRD’S SANDPIPER LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL LAUGHING GULL LITTLE GULL FORSTER’S TERN RED-HEADED WOODPECKER PHILADELPHIA VIREO GRAY-CHEEKED THRUSH ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER LINCOLN’S SPARROW PINE SISKIN Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge (MNWR) and Montezuma Wetlands Complex (MWC) ------------ 9/28: A HUDSONIAN GODWIT was found at Knox-Marsellus Marsh and continued to 10/1. A GLOSSY IBIS was found at Seneca Flats on the Wildlife Drive and is still present today. 9/30: Both SHORT and LONG-BILLED DOWITCHERS were seen along the Wildlife Drive. 10/1: An AMERICAN GOLDEN PLOVER was seen at Knox-Marsellus Marsh. 2 LONG-BILLED DOWITCHERS were seen at the Morgan Road Marshes. 10/2: Both AMERICAN GOLDEN PLOVER and BLACK-BELLIED PLOVER were seen at Knox-Marsellus Marsh. Also spotted there were BAIRD’S SANDPIPER and STILT SANDPIPER. 10/3: A WHITE-RUMPED SANDPIPER and a LONG-BILLED DOWITCHER were found on the Wildlife Drive. Cayuga County ------------ 9/28: An adult RED-HEADED WOODPECKER was seen on West Bay Road in Fair Haven. 1 BLACK-BELLIED PLOVER, 2 RUDDY TURNSTONES, 1 SANDERLING and 4 SEMI-PALMATED SANDPIPERS were seen at West Barrier Bar Park in Fair Haven. 9/30: A juvenile RED-HEADED WOODPECKER and 2 RUDDY TURNSTONES were seen at West Barrier Bar Park. 2 RUDDY DUCKS were seen at Fair Haven State Park. Onondaga County ------------ The LAUGHING GULL seen around the docks at the Ampitheater on Onondaga Lake was seen through 10/3. ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLERS were seen this week at the West shoreTrai, the Dewitt Quarry, 3 Rivers WMA and the South Meadow Nature Area in Tully. 9/28: A GRAY-CHEEKED THRUSH was heard at night on Jamesville Ave. in Syracuse. 9/29: A juvenile LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL was seen on the West Shore Trail of Onondaga Lake. 10/2: A PHILADELPHIA VIREO was seen at Arrowhead Lodge near Oneida Shores in Brewerton. 10/3: 7 LINCOLN SPARROWS were seen on the West Shore Trail on Onondaga Lake. Oswego County ------------ 9/28: A LINCOLN’S SPARROW was seen at a private residence in Hastings. A LEAST BITTERN was seen north of County Rt. 12 east of Phoenix. 9/29: A LITTE GULL and a FORSTER’S TERN were seen over Oneida Lake from Oneida Shores Park in Brewerton. Birds seen in flight over the lake are deemed to be in Oswego County. Oneida County ------------ 9/27: 2 LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULLS were seen at Verona Beach State Park. A PHILADELPHIA VIREO was seen on Sidecut Road in Durhamville.
