This a summary of the Hudson-Mohawk Birdline reports for the week

Seventy-eight species were reported this week. including 18 waterfowl 
species. The most reported species include Eastern Phoebe (10 
reports),Killdeer (9 ), Song Sparrow (8), Eastern Bluebird (7), Great 
Blue Heron (5) and Tree Swallow (5).


The best birds were:

SANDHILL CRANE: Ghent 3/17 (5).

SHORT-EARED OWL: Fort Edward 3/15 (6).

RUSTY BLACKBIRD: Black Creek Marsh 3/15 (30).

Lesser Scaup: Saratoga Lake 3/19 (~20).

Ruffed Grouse: Partridge Run 3/20.

Pied-billed Grebe: Latham 3/20.

Broad-winged Hawk: Livingston 3/16.

Red-tailed Hawk (leucistic): Rensselaer 3/18; Ghent 3/19.

Wilson's Snipe: East Greenbush 3/18 (2); Ghent 3/18 (2).

Eastern Screech-Owl: Black Creek Marsh 3/15; Five Rivers 3/16.

Barred Owl: Glenville 3/17.

Fish Crow: Wilton 3/15 (26).

Winter Wren: Edinburg 3/18; Partridge Run 3/20.
