Hi

Things have settled down a bit.

What you need to do is virtual name hosting.

You set up your new web site in its own sub directory.

Then edit the sites available conf file to let the web server ( Apache) know what url will access the site and the location of document root ( the new sub directory). This then links to sites enabled conf.

Then the dns for the url needs to be changed to this server. This can take a while to propagate.

That is the process in 3 steps.

The detail can be googled.

Wait, what was that now? You can't just nonchalantly drop that in as an aside... :-)
