Hi,

Whilst not an active poster or actively seeking out work, I do read
almost everything and you never know what tomorrow brings.

Having now been an active rails user for over 2 years, I'm still
learning and almost every day I find one of those "this is great"
moments. I really do not want to move away from it. Given what can be
done within the ruby sphere, we should be promoting not just RoR, but
the ideas and concepts for us as developers, architects, planners,
etc. with Rails as one of the enablers.

As such I too would be in favor of contributing to this effort. It can
only be a good thing for the NW region and beyond. I do recall Jamie's
comments about job agencies not really getting ruby as a skill set and
proposing unsuitable people. This would not do the cause any good at
all, perhaps this then is another area to be covered by this item.

I'm awaiting to here back from North Wales BCS group on a talk date
for next year, these are a great way of getting technology messages
out to people, normally academia and small tech companies in
attendance. When I get a date (2009) I'd be more than welcome to
share the opportunity.
