Well, yes, but the original poster wanted to be able to view long URLs
before clicking, and that's currently the simplest way. Another way is to
view source, but that's not so nice.

Well you still have to drag the icon to a filer window to save it or
another application to view it straight away. It's exactly the same thing.
Select gives you the content at the target address, Adjust gives you the
target address itself.

That's the way most Adjust (or Select / Ctrl) click functionality is on
RISC OS. You won't find out about it until you read the documentation,
experiment for yourself or get told about it by someone else. Shortcuts
involving clicks aren't mentioned in menus.

I've just noticed that the interactive help text for links doesn't mention
Shift+Select or Shift+Adjust clicking, so I'll add it.
