That is inconvenient. Surely saving a link URL like that is as convenient as Shift+Select clicking on a link to force a download of the link target, which is common enough on RISC OS browsers. Certainly, I find it convenient. > Also Shift-Adjust isn't shown on the menus so you need to know about > it. Why can't we have the "Object" option enabled for links, with a > submenu including: It's in the documentation. http://www.netsurf-browser.org/guide#BrowserWindowContentLinkHandling Anyway, the shortcut is not shown in the menus because, as you've noticed, there is no menu option for that functionality. > Info - full link URL, title, target, etc. > Save - save target as (Shift-Select) > Export - save target as text file > Save location - save link as Acorn URI, ANT URL or Text > New window - open in new window (Adjust) (also for images) > Reload (greyed out)? The reason this hasn't yet been done is it needs a lot of work and restructuring to get it right. Much of the menus need to be sorted out. Another issue with the current code is that the Page submenu is used for standalone images instead of the Object one. This means you can't save, for example, a standalone PNG as a Sprite. So, it's planned but, as ever, it's waiting for a developer with free time to spend on this part of NetSurf. One of the issues with your suggestion is if the object submenu is used for images and links, what happens when an image is used as a link? Does "Save location" save the location of the image or the target of the link? One of the ideas for restructuring the menu is here: http://vlists.pepperfish.net/pipermail/netsurf-dev-netsurf-browser.org/2006-August/000048.html I think there's a more up-to-date one somewhere too.
