AFAIK James Ketrenos from Intel is going to create a GIT repository of
ieee80211 for development. There's already a project on sourceforge,
maybe you can check it for updates, or ask him directly. The ieee80211
code in netdev might be a little outdated/desync'ed from the code in the
ipw2100/2200 drivers (the source of the netdev ieee80211 code). To
agravate things, there seems to be some pieces of code from ieee80211 in
 -mm kernels and 2.6.13-rc2, which prevent the ipw2100/2200 driver from
being compiled, so i would yell "bumpy road ahead" =:-)
