Dear Alan Of course every country is a complex canvas of multiple contents. Again in my first meeting with Noam Chomsky he told me don’t believe the US is composed only of new liberals or bigots I travel to small parishes in the country side and ask money to support Nicaragua and people open their wallets and leave thousands of dollars. Small people poor households they know what’s matters. I mean the same country who pay for weapon to Israel has though USAID supported Palestinian schools for ages. A real contradiction since Israel has often brmbed the same schools the US paid for.
But our discussion was to try to analyze the fascination the US has as land to emigrate to. And I try to understand it and fail all the time. My bad.
