Yep, I can understand that. I think the best option might be piping your mail through `par w998`, that should look just fine on mobile. I've just been doing it in vim before I :wq. I haven't decided if I'm sticking with markdown2html yet, I think with some hacking it would be acceptable (I don't like some of the preprocessing).
