Thanks. I have this: see 'NOTE'
/etc/postfix/main.cf:# - You use the "luser_relay", "mailbox_transport", or
"fallback_transport"
/etc/postfix/main.cf:# has precedence over the mailbox_command,
fallback_transport and
/etc/postfix/main.cf:# The fallback_transport specifies the optional transport
in master.cf
/etc/postfix/main.cf:#fallback_transport = lmtp:unix:/file/name
/etc/postfix/main.cf:#fallback_transport = cyrus
/etc/postfix/main.cf:#fallback_transport =
/etc/postfix/main.cf.default:# - You use the "luser_relay",
"mailbox_transport", or "fallback_transport"
/etc/postfix/main.cf.default:# has precedence over the mailbox_command,
fallback_transport and
/etc/postfix/main.cf.default:# The fallback_transport specifies the optional
transport in master.cf
/etc/postfix/main.cf.default:#fallback_transport = lmtp:unix:/file/name
/etc/postfix/main.cf.default:#fallback_transport = cyrus
/etc/postfix/main.cf.default:#fallback_transport =
/etc/postfix/master.cf:# When relaying mail as backup MX, disable
fallback_relay to avoid MX loops
# NOTE : I commented out the line below, but still got the same
# error message.
/etc/postfix/master.cf: -o smtp_fallback_relay=
/etc/postfix/master.cf.default:# When relaying mail as backup MX, disable
fallback_relay to avoid MX loops
/etc/postfix/master.cf.default: -o smtp_fallback_relay=

I am now getting mail from the postfix ML, I can take this issue
there if you wish, but :) serendipitously you may give me other
mac*nix tips.

thanks again
