I noticed that depending on how many other messages you have (and by which
authors) mutt will put it in the correct location or not. so sometimes
even those bad IRT headers will land on the correct thread.

I can compile mutt-1.2.5 again, but I can use my IPlanet ISP for outgoing
mail only when I am actually dialed in, from my home address. So yes, any
test mails are welcome.

BTW, I publicly apologize for suspecting mutt-1.2.5 to be broken :-)
