i often use an address that's valid but looks fake... this cuts down on
people sending copies to me as well as the newsgroup.  i personally use
a valid (although different from my regular address) account.

however if you want to use an invalid address (and there's nothing wrong
with that), make sure to read the address munging faq.  the main thing
to note is it's really rude to use a domain name that may actually
exist.

there's also an address (i forget what it is) that you can use that's
been provided just for people to use when they don't want to put a valid
address somewhere - it sends an autoresponse back explaining that.
