Other than those? Sure, write new code and patch Mutt. Other than that, you're either going to have to fix the broken cause (the MTA setup), or fix the broken symptom (the emails, by filtering and editing them, I.E. fetchmail and procmail and [something]). I'd butt my head against the MTA folks first, since that fixes the problem for ALL users, not just you.
